Privacy Policy

Last Updated: January 15, 2025

At Hyperpeakhub, we handle your information the way we'd want ours handled. This isn't about legal jargon for the sake of it. We're building a budget categorization platform, and that means working with your financial data. So yeah, privacy matters here.

This policy explains what we collect, why we need it, and what happens to it. We operate in Thailand, which means we follow Thai privacy laws, including the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). But more than that, we just believe in being straight with you.

What Information We Collect

Running a budget tool means we need some data to make things work. Here's what we're talking about:

Account Information

When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and password. Pretty standard stuff. We also keep track of when you created your account and your last login. This helps us keep your account secure and lets us reach you if something important comes up.

Financial Data You Provide

This is the heart of what we do. You enter budget categories, spending amounts, income figures, and transaction details. We store this so you can actually use the platform. The categories you create, the monthly limits you set, the expenses you track—it all stays with your account so it's there when you need it.

Usage Information

We see how you interact with Hyperpeakhub. Which features you use most, where you spend time in the app, what buttons you click. This isn't about watching you—it's about figuring out what works and what doesn't so we can make the platform better.

Technical Data

Your browser sends us information automatically. IP address, device type, operating system, browser version. We use this for security purposes and to make sure the site actually works on whatever device you're using. Sometimes we can tell what city you're in based on your IP, but we're not tracking your exact location or anything like that.

How We Use Your Information

We're not in the business of selling data. Here's what actually happens with your information:

Service Delivery: Your budget data powers the categorization features. We analyze your spending patterns to show you insights. When you set up categories, we store them. When you want to see reports, we generate them from your data.

Account Security: We monitor login patterns and flag unusual activity. If someone tries to access your account from a weird location or device, we might ask for additional verification.

Platform Improvements: We look at how people use different features to decide what to build next. If everyone ignores a particular tool, maybe it needs work. If a certain workflow is popular, we might expand it.

Communication: Sometimes we need to email you. Password resets, important updates about the service, changes to our terms. We might also send tips about using features you haven't tried yet, but you can turn those off.

Data Storage and Security

Your financial information deserves proper protection. We're serious about security, not just because it's required but because this stuff actually matters.

Where Your Data Lives

We use cloud servers located in Singapore and managed by established providers. Your data gets encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3. When it's sitting on our servers, we use AES-256 encryption for sensitive fields like passwords and financial amounts.

Who Has Access

Our development and support teams can access user data, but only when necessary. We log who looks at what and when. No one's browsing your budget for fun. If you contact support about a specific issue, someone might need to look at your account to help you—but that's it.

Backup and Retention

We run daily backups that are kept for 30 days. This protects against data loss if something breaks. The backups are encrypted and stored separately from production systems.

Sharing Your Information

We don't sell your data to advertisers or marketers. Period. But we do work with some third parties to keep the platform running:

Service Type What They Access Why We Use Them
Cloud Hosting All stored data Server infrastructure and storage
Email Service Email address, name Sending account emails and notifications
Analytics Usage patterns, anonymized data Understanding how the platform is used
Payment Processing Billing information Handling subscription payments

All these providers sign agreements that limit how they can use your data. They can't sell it or use it for their own purposes beyond providing the service we've hired them for.

Legal Requirements

If Thai authorities request user data through proper legal channels, we'll comply. We'd also share information if necessary to prevent fraud or security threats. But we're not handing over data without valid legal reasons.

Your Rights Under Thai Law

Thailand's PDPA gives you specific rights over your personal data. Here's what you can do and how to actually do it:

Access Your Data

You can request a copy of everything we have about you. Email us at support@hyperpeakhub.com with "Data Access Request" in the subject line. We'll send you a file within 30 days containing your account information, budget data, and usage history.

Correct Inaccurate Information

Most data you can fix yourself through your account settings. Change your name, update your email, modify budget categories—it's all in there. If you spot something you can't edit yourself, let us know and we'll correct it.

Delete Your Account

You can delete your account anytime through the account settings page. This removes your personal information and budget data from our active systems. Backup copies get automatically purged after 30 days. We might keep some transaction records for accounting purposes, but those are anonymized.

Export Your Data

Want to take your budget data somewhere else? We'll give you a CSV file with all your categories, transactions, and budget information. Same process—email us and we'll send it over.

Withdraw Consent

If you agreed to something optional like marketing emails or beta features, you can change your mind. Most of this is controlled through your account settings. For anything else, contact our support team.

Object to Processing

If you think we're using your data in a way you didn't agree to, you can object. Send us an email explaining your concern. We'll review it and either stop the processing or explain why we believe it's necessary for the service to work.

Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies, but not many. Here's the breakdown:

Essential Cookies

These keep you logged in and remember your preferences. The session cookie expires when you close your browser. A persistent cookie remembers your login for up to 30 days if you check "Remember Me." Without these, the platform wouldn't work.

Analytics Cookies

We track page views and feature usage to understand how people use Hyperpeakhub. This is anonymized—we see patterns, not individuals. You can block these through your browser settings if you want.

No Third-Party Advertising

We don't use advertising cookies or let advertisers track you on our site. No pixel tracking, no retargeting, none of that.

Data Retention

We keep your information as long as your account is active. Once you delete your account, here's what happens:

  • Personal information gets removed from active systems immediately
  • Budget data and transaction history are deleted within 7 days
  • Backup copies automatically expire after 30 days
  • Anonymized usage statistics might stick around for analysis
  • Financial transaction records for paid accounts are kept for 7 years to comply with Thai accounting requirements

If your account sits inactive for 3 years with no login, we'll send you an email asking if you want to keep it. No response after 90 days and we'll close the account and remove the data.

International Data Transfers

Our servers are in Singapore, which means your data crosses borders. Singapore has strong data protection laws that Thailand recognizes as adequate. We use encrypted connections for all data transfers between Thailand and our servers.

Some of our service providers have operations in other countries. When we work with them, we make sure they meet Thai privacy standards through contractual agreements.

Children's Privacy

Hyperpeakhub isn't designed for kids. You need to be at least 20 years old to create an account under Thai law. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone younger than that. If we discover that someone under 20 has signed up, we'll delete their account and data.

Changes to This Policy

We'll update this policy when necessary. Maybe we add a new feature that requires different data. Maybe privacy laws change. Maybe we just realize we could explain something better.

When we make changes, we'll update the date at the top and send an email to your registered address. Big changes that affect how we handle your data will get more prominent notice—probably a banner in the app that you'll need to acknowledge.

Keep using Hyperpeakhub after we notify you about changes and you're agreeing to the updated policy. If you don't like the changes, you can delete your account before they take effect.

Security Incidents

If we have a data breach that affects your personal information, we'll tell you. Thai law requires notification within 72 hours of discovering a breach, and we'll meet that deadline. You'll get an email explaining what happened, what data was involved, and what we're doing about it.

We'll also report serious breaches to Thailand's Personal Data Protection Committee as required by law.

Questions or Concerns

If something in this policy is unclear, if you want to exercise your rights, or if you just have questions about how we handle data, get in touch. We'd rather explain something than leave you wondering.
